Shon McKee is a touring/recording drummer/percussionist based in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota on July 30th, 1970, Shon had his musical roots in emulating the bands he saw in the music videos featured on MTV. As a self-taught drummer, it was his love of rock music that built the basis of his playing, always watching and learning from whoever he could, whenever he could. His first big opportunity came when he was offered to tour the country out of his first year of college. Shon had been on the road until it led him to Las Vegas in 1995 at the behest of a friend.
Described by his peers as flawless, his resourceful & energetic drumming has caught the attention of many admirers. One such being Stoney Curtis, who after bonding with Shon over a mutual love of KISS, invited him to join the Stoney Curtis Band as the drumming heartbeat of their sound.
Along as a mainstay of the Stoney Curtis Band and many other shows and touring projects across North America, Shon is currently playing as a touring drummer in the KISS This Tribute Show at the Rio Hotel & Casino, the Nashville Stars Live, and the Ultimate Van Halen Experience. As one of the top drumming talents in the Vegas area, he also subs in for many of the musical acts based around the city.
Beyond music, Shon is likely spending time with his wife, kids, three schnauzers or watching the Vegas Golden Knights and Minnesota Vikings.
